Wedding bells are ringing in this issue of Newnan-Coweta Magazine! Four lovely brides share their engagement and wedding stories, and future brides can learn a lot by reading their stories as well as
their wedding advice.

You'll meet a bride whose engagement ring was hidden inside a golf ball and another whose future husband slipped a Gummy Peachy O candy on her finger when he proposed. One bride was out looking at Christmas lights when her beloved popped the question, and another bride was slipped away to a secret garden for her romantic proposal.

While the weddings of today offer plenty of inspiration, one wedding of yesteryear captured our attention as well, the 1918 wedding of Georgia Atkinson, the daughter of Governor William Yates Atkinson of Newnan. Lots of red, white and blue touches were included in this wedding as a tribute to the men off fighting in "the Great War."

And for our day trip this issue, we visited the "Diana: A Celebration" exhibit at the Atlanta Civic Center, where the items on display include Princess Diana's legendary wedding gown with the 25-foot train.
This issue features more than simply weddings, of course. With spring baseball just around the corner, we talked to Brett Butts, an upcoming ballplayer with the Atlanta Braves organization and a former East Coweta High School baseball standout.

Our Thoughtful Gardener focuses on spring's beautiful wisteria blossoms, and we also have lots of ideas for those spring luncheons, showers and graduation parties.

We may have a little more winter weather in store, but this issue of Newnan-Coweta Magazine will definitely put you in the mood for spring. Enjoy!

Fondly
,
