Shirley's Meatballs

1 pound ground beef
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon mustard
2 tablespoons bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 can tomato soup
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon vinegar
Catsup, to taste

Mix beef, crumbs, egg and salt. Sprinkle with brown sugar and a couple spoons of catsup. Mix. Shape into balls. Brown in skillet or oven.
For the sauce, cook onions and peppers in butter until tender. Stir in other ingredients. Pour over meatballs. Simmer 30 minutes or longer if desired.
Note: You can cook these in the crock pot after the meatballs are browned. Just let them simmer for a while.
